Joe

Joe is co-owner and CFO of TaxAce along with his wife Nataly Zamora, EA. As co-owner, he focuses on ensuring the TaxAce Team delivers a comprehensive and consistent experience for each client in understanding their unique tax situation. The TaxAce Team strives to take the mystery out of their client’s tax situation and explain how each client’s unique situation affects their finances. Given each decision we make is based upon our finances, it makes sense to understand your tax situation.

Joe is an Enrolled Agent (EA), licensed to practice before the IRS across all 50 states. The EA designation requires a comprehensive study and testing program. An EA is bound to ethical standards set forth by Treasury Department Circular 230 and requires annual continuing education to maintain the EA designation. Joe’s knowledge of tax matters is wide ranging, but his primary focus is on tax resolution cases and small businesses while being passionate about helping each client take ownership of their tax situation.

In his spare time, Joe enjoys time with his Family. Time with Family is spent checking out various activities and restaurants in the Bay Area while being near the beautiful California coast. Joe is an avid golfer, a genuine Foodie, and enjoys traveling with his Wife. Joe also believes in continuous learning at both a personal and professional level to better assist his Family and clients.

Nataly

Nataly is the CEO of TaxAce. She has been in this industry for 17 years, has never lost a case, and is beyond passionate in making sure this industry evolves for the better. Her focus is always on making sure her team have the training and the resources to achieve their potential in everything that they do. Determined to create an environment where clients are educated and informed so that they can make the right decisions for themselves, their business, and their families, when it comes to their tax situations.

Her expertise includes personal, small business, corporate and nonprofit tax returns, Tax Resolution, bookkeeping, payroll, and her favorite: tax planning & strategy! She is an Accountant and an IRS Enrolled Agent that can represent clients before the IRS in all 50 states. She is also constantly training in various fields so that she can use her knowledge to help both her business and personal clients succeed in their various goals.

Family is everything to her, and she spends all her spare time with them and her dogs Koby and Kona. She is a Vipassana Alumni and is committed to giving back to her community both here and in her home country Philippines via her non-profit Gift of Words Inc. She is an avid reader and loves traveling to all the different beaches around the world with her husband Joe.

Ivy

Ivy is our office manager and is a licensed tax preparer. She overlooks the team and works diligently to complete tax returns for her clients, overlooks all bookkeeping and payroll services provided by TaxAce, and doubles as Nataly’s right-hand. Ivy handles all of that and more and she does so in such an elegant manner that you would never suspect her heavy workload. She is a wonderful role model and the perfect person to manage the team. Ivy is hard working and dedicated to her clients and team. She will go out of her way to solve any problem you may have. Ivy is incredibly determined and goal oriented, she persistently furthers her education and in 2020, became a certified ProAdvisor. Ivy’s thoughtfulness and generosity empowers those around her and encourages them to do their best. She is an independent and headstrong woman, which allows her to be very successful. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family and has a hobby of taking photos. She loves to take road trips with her loved ones to capture these beautiful images.

Ariel

Ariel is our client specialist; she works hands on to make sure our clients are taken care of. Her roles include sending out cards to our clients, preparing gifts for clients, touching base with clientele to ensure that they have enjoyed their TaxAce experience, and handling feedback we receive. This year, Ariel completed the schooling needed for her CTEC Certification and passed all exams, which means she is now a certified tax preparer and will be filing taxes beginning in the 2020 tax season! This is a huge accomplishment not just for Ariel, but for the team as a whole. She is incredibly proud of herself and says she is, “Beyond grateful for all the knowledge and experience TaxAce has given me.” When Ariel is not at work, she enjoys adventuring the Bay Area and sight-seeing. Since she was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she loves to compare the different landscapes and cultures of her old home and her new home.

Gracia

Gracia is one of our Bookkeeper, currently pursuing her QB Pro-Advisor certification. She does payroll, bookkeeping, and assists in data entry. She’s Bilingual, with fluency in both English and Spanish and has great customer service skills. Gracia is preparing herself to get her payroll and taxes license so she can help more people in our community and teach them how to save money. Gracia was born and raised in El Salvador and she likes to travel to her home country when she has vacations, but she also wants to travel the world. As for now, she is “completely grateful and happy to be part of our TaxAce family.”

Rebecca

Rebecca is an Administrative Assistant (tax preparer in training). Her roles include helping with the process of data entry, processing entity applications, and processing sales tax for business clients. She started her career at TaxAce in August 2020 and since has gained a lot of knowledge in the many different services we have in the office. Rebecca is currently going to school and graduates with an associate degree in Arts & Humanities in December 2020. She is very family orientated and enjoys spending time at family gatherings when not busy with work and school.

Javier

Javier is our in-house marketing specialist and academy engineer. His roles consist of handling the digital aspect of TaxAce by editing our website, online marketing, and additionally, he is the tech-brain to our developing Academy. This is a project TaxAce has been working on for over a year now, and with the help of Javier, we will be pushing this out in the near future. In December, he is set to graduate from UC Davis as a Full-Stack Developer. Along with that, he has taken a course for Marketing. Javier is hardworking, always positive, and incredibly respectful. He’s never afraid to test artistic boundaries and leaves us speechless when it comes to the quality of his work. He is very funny and keeps us on our toes with his jokes! In his free time, Javier is a photographer and maintains a small photography business. (Lucky for us we get free pictures!) He also enjoys family time, whether that is staying in and watching movies or hiking to different waterfalls.

Israela

Israela is our Lead Bookkeeper at TaxAce, where she performs bookkeeping tasks, prepares monthly financial statements, files clients’ Statement of Information, and handles payroll. Payroll processing includes sending reminders and paying payroll taxes. During middle school, Israela was a consistent honor student and in college, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Joining TaxAce - the best Accounting and Tax services in Solano - is the biggest accomplishment in her career. She is very grateful for the privilege of doing a special set of tasks that was only entrusted to her by the company. Israela loves listening to music, for her music often produces mild, positive moods and when she’s off work, she loves travelling because she likes to embrace adventures and to share new experiences with friends and loved ones.

France

France is one of our bookkeepers; he was entrusted to keep the accuracy and relevance of clients’ books. His roles include but are not limited to analyzing, classifying, and recording bank and credit card transactions. He also conducts internal audits on books to make sure that all are in accordance with the guidelines set forth by TaxAce. During his high school years, he was the class Valedictorian and in college, he was a scholar of B.S. Accountancy. He’s been actively working as a bookkeeper for the past three years. He’s thankful to TaxAce for letting him join the number 1 Tax Service Provider in Solano County this year. A couple of years from now, he aims to help TaxAce become one of the most notable Accounting and Tax Services. He likes to strum the guitar on his free time. He wants to maintain a lively atmosphere in the workplace as much as possible because it will make him feel heavy when everyone stays silent.

Gelson

Gelson is one of our bookkeepers. He is responsible for handling the books of some of our clients. His task is to monitor all the transactions made to ensure proper recording. It was his dream to be part of the TaxAce family. He really does his best and puts love into all of his work. He graduated as an accountancy student. He has a sister and two younger brothers who are still studying. His family serves as his motivation to continue hustling in life. He wants to be successful for his family. He spends his free time playing mobile games and watching movies. He is also a big fan of marathon.

Jessel

Jessel is one of our Bookkeepers. She provides accounting services to clients. She is responsible for categorizing transactions, managing journal entries, and ensuring proper general ledger coding in support of monthly closings. Also, she handles bank reconciliation and other month-end general ledger reconciliations. It is such a great opportunity for her to become a member of the TaxAce Family. Besides work, she loves to read books and watch movies on Netflix. She likes art and her hobby is adult coloring. She believes that coloring is an active form of therapy and meditation and an inexpensive way to relax and de-stress. She has a sister who took up Civil Engineering as a course and planning to take a board exam next year. Her family is her source of motivation and inspiration in life.

Rica

Rica is one of our bookkeepers. She is a certified QuickBooks Online Pro Advisor, and she was brought in to handle our QuickBooks online transition. Last year, Rica also completed the Xero Certification.

Rica is also a Social Media Specialist and loves graphic design. Her roles include researching, scheduling, and posting on all our social media platforms and monitoring our online presence. She found her passion for learning new things: “Investing knowledge and skills is my ticket to become successful.” When Rica is not at work, she enjoys traveling to different beaches. Since she grew up without her parents, she became independent and a problem solver.
